150Nm³/h 99% High-purity VPSA Oxygen System
What Is a VPSA Oxygen Generator?
A vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) oxygen generator is an efficient system for extracting oxygen from atmospheric air. The VPSA process separates oxygen by adsorbing nitrogen—one of the most common elements in air—producing a continuous flow of purified oxygen. This technology is particularly effective for high-volume oxygen production requirements.

- Utilizes Roots blowers and Roots vacuum pumps for volumetric, oil-free operation with easy maintenance
- Highly integrated system design with synthesized power system and oxygen generator for one-click startup
- Ideal for medium to large-scale production requirements
- Automated adsorption process controlled by PLC system and switching valves
Oxygen Generation Process
Ambient Air Treatment: Atmospheric air is filtered to remove dust particles, then compressed to 0.3-0.5 barg by Roots blowers before flowing to the zeolite molecular sieve (ZMS) adsorption tower. CO₂ is adsorbed by activated alumina at the adsorber inlet, while nitrogen and moisture are preferentially adsorbed by the molecular sieve, allowing oxygen to be collected as product gas.
Oxygen Separation: Non-adsorbed gases including oxygen and argon exit the adsorber into the oxygen buffer tank as purified product gas.
Adsorber Regeneration: When adsorption capacity is reached, valves switch direction to depressurize the adsorbent tank to 0.65-0.75 barg using vacuum pumps, desorbing the sieves for reuse. Adsorbed moisture, CO₂, nitrogen, and other gases are released into the atmosphere.
